Friends For The Journey

Although Copacabana is beautiful, Ipanema beach is probably the most beautiful view I have ever seen in my life. I took this picture on my trip to Brazil in 2005. I was standing very near the Catholic church of the Resurrection that we will be attending while in Rio. By 8:30 PM today, we will be on the airplane and getting ready to leave for Brazil. Somewhere in the early morning hours we will pass over the Amazon rain forest. On a clear night, one can look out the window for several hours and see no lights….nothing but dark rain forest!
