Easter Sunday baptism · Mar 25, 10:20 AM
We started out with some worship and Billy Long shared about the significance of resurrection and new life in Christ and baptism.

The first person we baptised was Dawn Padget, who Debbie led to the Lord through prayer a couple of years ago.

Carlos and I then bapitized my daughter Ruth and her boyfriend Mike Rivera, who made a commitment to follow Jesus last year. Ruth and Mike are the hosts of our Tuesday night WoW “Jesus” discussion group.

we also baptized Clare Derosier, Ruth’s roomate and one of the participants in our WoW group …

...and Luke Dordelle, a young Haitian man who married Micah Biggs a couple of years ago… Luke is now leading a bible study with his young brothers and sisters and friends…

After prayer, Jim Bulkley, Ed Biggs and Billy (among others) spent time praying over the newly baptized and anyone who had any health needs

When we asked if anyone else wanted baptized, all of the young kids raised their hands (I think they wanted in the pool) we instructed them to ask their parents to begin teaching them the commands of Christ and we would consider it next year …

A very good time was had by all!
Romans 6:3-11
3-5That’s what baptism into the life of Jesus means. When we are lowered into the water, it is like the burial of Jesus; when we are raised up out of the water, it is like the resurrection of Jesus. Each of us is raised into a light-filled world by our Father so that we can see where we’re going in our new grace-sovereign country.
6-11Could it be any clearer? Our old way of life was nailed to the cross with Christ, a decisive end to that sin-miserable life—no longer at sin’s every beck and call! What we believe is this: If we get included in Christ’s sin-conquering death, we also get included in his life-saving resurrection. We know that when Jesus was raised from the dead it was a signal of the end of death-as-the-end. Never again will death have the last word.

That was an AWESOME time! I actually hadn’t realized how culturally diverse our group is becoming. Also, Agustin is leading a group with his family!

I’m so glad to see that there were so many people baptized. God will truely bless their lives for taking this big step. I am also glad to hear that many groups have been formed. I see lots of great change! Keep it up! Many blessings…
