hi folks ... thanks for sticking with us · Aug 27, 06:49 AM
As we flew home on Sunday, Deb’s foot became increasingly painful to the point that she was unable to put any weight on it. After a 10-hour flight, my daughter the nurse in Miami told us that it might be a blood clot, so off to the Emergency Room we went for another six or seven hours of sitting around. It was not a blood clot and not a broken bone, turns out that it was some kind of infection (with chemo the immune system is compromised). And then on Tuesday morning, Deb went in for a regularly scheduled kidney biopsy that we had mistakenly understood was only a one hour procedure.
She spent the night in the ER and I started my first day in the new semester as a Teaching Assistant on Tuesday. So, long story made short, we have been a little busy.
She is back home and doing well—always with a smile and a laugh … we will find out the results of the biopsy in a couple of weeks. Life continues to be really good, even when it sucks!

problems "He's got the whole world, in his hands" -John 14:27
I agree life is good even when it sucks. I am the wife of Debs brother Gene who has a mental and physical problem. I have a physical problem a really bad back. When life gets unbearable I climb upon Jesus shoulders. He carries me til I say Jesus I think I can get down and walk again. I feel Him walking beside me always. I know that no matter what comes in life He has our lives mapped out and I accept what ever it is. Debbie and Gene to me are very special people. I know some of what you go through Wes. I feel close to you in that we are dealing with brother and sister, I pray for your peace of mind in knowing that God will get us through it all. I hope I have made sence to you. I truly do love you all, my family in Florida, sometimes I do not come across that way but hope you all know I do. Love Judy
