Friends For The Journey

hi everyone! Happy New Year.

Debbie had chemo yesterday. She is doing good, but has been too busy with medical issues and baby sitting grandchildren to take the time to write another update.

I rested a few days between Christmas and New Years, and then had my research proposal defense for my dissertation yesterday (for the 2nd time). It passed! However, I have to make some changes.

Last night was our Tuesday discussion group with young people. There were several Christians, one former buddhist an agnostic and an atheist in the conversation. We talked about the secret to King David’s favor with God … his heart of worship.

As Henri Nouwen says, even though we have little control over our circumstances, we choose to be at peace and experience the joy of gratitude for God’s love and blessings.
