The Autumn of Life · Mar 29, 07:36 AM
… The barren trees remind us that winter is near. Likewise, the autumn of life has the potential to be very colorful: wisdom, humor, care, patience, and joy may bloom splendidly just before we fall to the ground and die.
As we look at the barren trees and remember our dead, let us be grateful for the beauty we saw in them and wait hopefully for a new spring. [Henri Nouwen, Bread for the Journey.

Here is a Henri Nouwen quote I am pondering. “The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing… not healing, not curing… that is a friend who cares”. Love you guys….Mark and Tacee

I often think of life in terms of the natural seasons and I love the fact that each season has its own beauty. My favorite season may be autumn with its fiery display of glorious color and intense heavenly blue. Winter reveals the “bare bones” of the trees. I have prayed, Lord, may each season of my life have its own beauty. Thank you, Joseph and Debbie, for showing forth beauty in every season of life.
