… Lately, I have started taking the time to pray that prayer 2 or 3 times in a day. I’m not quite sure what we are “doing right” to draw down so much unwanted attention upon us from the dark side. However, it is comforting to know that many of you are praying regularly for us.
Although Deb is doing well in terms of her shrinking cancer tumors, she has had more physical discomfort weakness than usual from the side effects of the chemo. She has also been more emotional than usual – please don’t stop praying! I know it is not easy to help shoulder this kind of burden after five years and counting. Our main daily battle is against weariness and discouragement. She is living by faith – and she has stayed positive and engaged for these five years despite constant chemo. Pray that she will not grow battle weary and give up. I need her around to keep me out of trouble!
This is exam week and I am finishing up my work for this semester. I just finished a rough draft of one chapter of my dissertation. Last night I met with the 3 disciples who have emerged out of our “God-party” for our weekly study through the book of John. Today I meet with another young man I am mentoring and tonight I am cooking for our young disbelieving friends in our God-party.
