Good morning,
Today is our last day in Madrid. We had a wonderful dinner with a lovely Colombian family that we have known for almost 20 years, last night. They are church planting here in Madrid. They are a healthy, close knit family and fun to be with. I woke up early this morning in anticipation of packing our bags and heading back for Paris for the long flight home. I am eager to get home at this point to see my family (my arms are aching to hold my grandchildren!!!)
Yesterday, we visited the Botanical Gardens (gorgeous), the Royal Palace (very impressive) and one of the main college campuses here in Spain. I will try to attach photos if I can (I’m not sure Joseph has made them small enough to fit. Anyway, I will try. I especially love the one of the cat that claimed us as her friend while we were in the garden (Sorry, I couldn’t get this one…maybe later!).
One of the things Joseph and I have been doing these last few days is to reflect on our lives and see what the Lord has done in/through us over the last 30 years. We have been overwhelmed at His faithfulness in our lives and the lives of our children.
Well, the sun is coming up and I have a long day ahead. Please keep in touch. I am enjoying corresponding with you.
Love to all,
Debbie (Mom)
