The Road goes ever on and on Down from the door where it began. Now far ahead the Road has gone, And I must follow, if I can, Pursuing it with eager feet, Until it joins some larger way Where many paths and errands meet. And whither then? I cannot say. -J. R. R. Tolkien

Are you at the end of your rope? Psalm 116 · Nov 13, 09:21 AM

Yesterday there was a ton of spiritual warfare … spirits of paralysis, despair and sadness were crowding around me … I was at the ‘end of my rope’ and then I cried out to God and begged him for help ….

This morning Deb and I read Psalm 116 in the message….

Oh God, work a miracle! Psalm 109 · Nov 6, 09:42 AM

Most of Psalm 109 is pretty negative. However there are a couple of bright spots. Verse 21 is a plea to God to intervene and an affirmation that he can work miracles for us.

Psalm 109
21-25 Oh, God, my Lord, step in;
work a miracle for me—you can do it!
Get me out of here—your love is so great!—

Psalm 77 - did God go out of business? · Sep 10, 08:01 AM

Deb and I read Psalm 77 this morning … I identified with it because I have had a lot of insomnia lately ….

1 I yell out to my God, I yell with all my might, I yell at the top of my lungs. He listens.

2-6 I found myself in trouble and went looking for my Lord;
my life was an open wound that wouldn’t heal.
When friends said, “Everything will turn out all right,”
I didn’t believe a word they said.
I remember God—and shake my head.
I bow my head—then wring my hands.
I’m awake all night—not a wink of sleep;
I can’t even say what’s bothering me.
I go over the days one by one,
I ponder the years gone by.
I strum my lute all through the night,
wondering how to get my life together.

And now, on a lighter note … Psalm 65 · Aug 22, 08:26 AM

1-2 Silence is praise to you, Zion-dwelling God,
And also obedience.
You hear the prayer in it all.
